I got my first UX job 🎉

Priya Raman

Posted 4 days ago

Eight months ago I was a pharmacy assistant with zero design experience. Today I signed an offer as a junior UX designer at a small health startup!

The interview project and the final prototype from this course were the two case studies they asked about most. Thank you to everyone who gave feedback in the portfolio swaps — you made it so much better.

Priya, this made my week. Your synthesis board was one of the clearest I've seen in this course. Go enjoy it — and come back to tell us what surprised you in your first month.

This is so motivating. I'm on week 6 and some days it feels slow — reading this helps. Congratulations Priya!

Did they ask you to present the case studies live or just send the PDF? Asking for my future self 😄

@Aiko live, 20 minutes, and they cared way more about why I changed things than about the final screens. Practice telling the story out loud.

Career switchers unite! Went from teaching to UX last spring. The first month is a lot, be kind to yourself.

Be kind and specific. Instructors read every thread.
